Who We Are

 Avon Township Democrats is the official Democratic organization of Avon Township, Illinois.  We are a branch of the Lake County Democratic Central Committee (Lake County Democratic Party, Inc.), which is the official Democratic organization of Lake County.  Avon Township Democrats represents the citizens of the 33 precincts that make up Avon Township. 

Most of these 33 precincts has its own Precinct Committee Person. Precinct Committeemen are there for you and your neighbors.  They can provide you with information about your elected officials, Democratic candidates, other election information, and opportunities for you to get involved in promoting Democratic values here at home and across the nation.  They can also inform you about upcoming events where you can meet Democratic candidates or social events just for fun. 

Currently, there is not a Precinct Committeeman in each precinct. Another duty of the Avon Township Democrats is to find individuals who are willing, qualified, and able to take on the responsibilities of being a Precinct Committeeman. If you are interested in becoming a Precinct Committeeman.
